How it works

The seed swap will run from 10am – 12 noon on Saturday the 16th of February at Cheriton Village hall (SO24 0PZ) in Hampshire.

Bring along your unwanted / excess seeds, seedlings and bulbs and swap them at no cost! You can also buy seeds if you have none to swap for 50p a pack/item. Please ensure that all packs are clearly labelled and that the contents will not expire within 2019.

Upon entry you’ll be given a token in exchange for each item (be it pack of seeds, bulb or seedling) that you bring with you. Your items will be added to those already there, and you can then go and explore our display tables and pick out the items you’d like to take in return.

Tea, coffee and cakes will be on sale and there will be a variety of gardening books for you to peruse as you browse. We will also be running a small craft activity for children where they can create a small compostable pot and plant a seed (suggested donation 50p).

All profits from the seed swap will be donated to Green Fingers, a horticultural charity that provides beautiful gardens for children’s hospices.
